Elderly, Children and Adolescent Rights
People aged 60 or over, under 12 and between 13 and 18 years of age have their rights guaranteed by two federal laws:
- The Statute of the Elderly – Law No. 10,741, of October 1, 2003
- The Statute of Children and Adolescents – Law No. 8,069, of July 13, 1990.
These rights are often disregarded. Ensuring them may require specialized legal advice.
